Maranjab Caravanserai is one of the most amazing and well-preserved caravanserais in Iran, which was built by the order of Shah Abbas Safavid in addition to another 1000 caravanserai in Iran at the time. The caravanserai used to be situated on the Silk Road, where lots of trades occurred. It is said that 500 soldiers were always on top of the castle to observe the trading in the markets around the castle. These traders were traveling from China to Europe and vice-versa to exchange their goods with others.
